Angus McFarland
Angus works with Rio Tinto Iron Ore as a Principal Scientist in a role focussed on how to manage mine tailings more effectively in the future. Angus spent much of his career working in 'geometallurgy', linking geological ore characteristics with their processing behaviours.
The current role utilises this experience with his PhD research which investigated the role of how flocculant polymer chemistry affected water retention of clay mineral slurries.
