About us

We are a team of dedicated volunteers serving the needs of the South Wales (UK) region within the IChemE community. We actively support our student members, empowering them to lead initiatives that benefit their peers. Our group is committed to strengthening collaboration between industry and academia to foster impactful, long-term partnerships that contribute to regional growth. Passionate about outreach, we deliver activities in schools as part of the national DiscoverChemEng campaign to raise awareness of chemical engineering among young people. We also organise a variety of networking events—including employer-academia meetings and joint activities with groups like the Institute of Corrosion—as well as technical seminars on emerging topics. We also champion mentoring and CPD support to help members progress towards chartership.
